What is DVD Up- Scaling?
DVD up-scaling, also referred to as up-converting, works by creating a new line of pixels; this is done by copying parts of the surrounding pixels. Basically what they are doing is guessing what the High Definition picture should look like, in theory it is possible to create an image that can fool the human eye.
